As a responsible and caring neighbor, Honu Group Foundation is committed
to the people and communities we work and live in. While the needs
are many, we believe the people are better served by a consistent
planned giving strategy. By taking this approach Hony Group Foundation
is able to achieve a greater impact for the community, as well as
establishing long-term relationships within the community. The areas
of giving are: Arts and Humanities, Education,
Environment, Human Services, Native Hawaiian and Immigrant Cultures,
Youth Sports and Special Events. To optimize our support,
the emphasis has been placed on enhancing the whole rather than
the individual parts.
The areas of giving are as distinct and varied as the people of
Hawaii. These areas have been chosen to allow a variety of audiences
and supporters to be reached by Honu Group Foundation.

Kahu ‘Aina, Caring for the land,
earth and all its beauty.
Princeville Center and Honu Group worked in partnership with
Garden Island Arts Council, Kauai Conservation and the National
Tropical Botanical Gardens in 2007 and 2008.
Kahu ‘Aina, Caring for the land, earth and all its beauty,
seeks to connect our youth to the beauty and uniqueness of Hawaii’s
native and culture flora through art. It is a blended marriage of
conservation and creativity, of environment and imagination. The
2007 inaugural Kahu ‘Aina program produced 117 beautiful artworks
by Kauai’s youth with twenty-two paintings memorialized in
a permanent triptych mural display at Princeville Center.
Kahu
‘Ohana, Caring for our family of people.
Princeville Center and Honu Group worked in partnership with Garden
Island Arts Council in 2008.
Kahu ‘Ohana, Caring for our family of people, connects
families with the arts, holistic wellness, mentorship and personal
growth. We give our children the opportunity to focus on positive
role models who inspire them and are instrumental in shaping their
lives to become responsible, caring leaders of the future. With
help from artists and writers, children paint and write limericks
about that special person in their life.
Kahu Kai, Caring for the ocean and all
its life.
Princeville Center and Honu Group will be working partnership
with Garden Island Arts Council in 2009.
Kahu Kai, Caring for the ocean and all its life, connects
our youth to the unique, fragile and wonderful beauty of marine
life through art, conservation efforts and water events.
